"Accidents Advance Most of Our Lives" was created to reflect on the complex yet purposeful choices and the random chance events that happen to all of us. Porcelain and Plexiglas, pieces dangle over letters that have been laser cut into mirrors, which reflect back into the artwork. Clear and translucent materials of white, glazed porcelain are used in combination with the other transparent materials like Plexiglas – are pierced and sewn with monofilament to glisten, reflect and redirect the light.
