Epigenome

In the weird world of science-where sperm meets egg and DNA unravels, games of chance are being played out in a variety of fantastic realities. Molecular biologist and neuroscientists test out ideas about gender and sexual orientation in laboratories, while in another universe in our culture, women obsessively try to conceive male babies by setting their cyclical sexual behavior close to ovulation.

The work “Epigenomes” explores the realm of chance happenings. In the cosmos of conception, can the many spermatozoids released, significantly change the next generation of our kin? We are consuming pharmaceuticals 24 hours a day, chemically altering our bodies. Are sperm the new warriors and conduit of chance and change? Are these tiny messengers ushering in new DNA information altering our evolutionary path?
